Google Apps for Education - a Train-the-Trainer Workshop
Tuesday, September 13 from  9 to 3
CESA 5 Downstairs Conference Room

Professional development for teachers and administrators is a key component of deploying Google Apps for Education in your school district.  This workshop provides an opportunity for districts to train one or two individuals who will in turn provide district leadership in professional development, curriculum redesign, and instructional strategies for implementing Google Apps in the classroom.

Participants will identify how Google Apps tools can be used to support online student collaboration and student-teacher communication.  They will preview online tutorials and resources for learning Google Apps tools.  They will sketch out activities to be used when training others in their district and will create a training web site for future use.    Participants should have had prior experience with Google Docs and bring a computer with wireless Internet capability to the training.

This workshop is funded by DPI as an extension to the CESA 5 Project TILT III (EETT) competitive grant.  Substitute teacher and travel expenses will be reimbursed.    Participation limited to Project TILT III consortium districts.
