School/District Leaders are invited to engage in network seeking to identify and redefine YOUR ‘portrait of a graduate’. Together, we will learn more about the work that is underway throughout the Nation, Wisconsin and CESA #6. The network will take a dive deep into learning about what we can do to ensure all learners are ‘ready’, as we share different entry points and approaches to the work, design supports and templates, and chart regional next steps.

The CESA 6 networking design will focus on creating a ‘community of practice’ as it pertains to building and launching a ‘portrait of a graduate’, the corresponding data scorecard, and instructional/programming designs geared to achieve the desired levels of performance. We will learn together, and from each other, as we frame a ‘broader definition of ‘success’.

TOGETHER WE WILL:

  • Learn about, and how to lead, the development of a portrait of a graduate.
  • Examine, define, assess, and monitor the research-validated indicators for College and Career Readiness.
  • Learn how a 'portrait of a graduate' and your 'dashboard', can be used as an organizational 'north star'.
  • More fully convey student readiness, than the current state report card, and communicate comprehensive school progress with your stakeholders.
  • Lastly, the network will focus on the instructional and classroom changes that are necessary to develop and grow the readiness indicators.

OBJECTIVES:

  • Updates from around the state!
  • Dive into a locally developed templates/examples/resources.
  • Learn about a variety of approaches and ‘get started on your next steps’.
  • Grow your professional network.
  • Team Time: Draft a custom ‘portrait of a graduate’ process for your system.

Who should attend?

District leaders (superintendents, assistant superintendents, principals, DAC, and directors) and system leaders charged to reach new levels of performance.

Events are designed for team collaboration.

Cost: (fee includes materials & lunch)
