During this workshop, coordinators will work collaboratively around four main topics: determining excellence gaps, culturally and linguistically responsive identification processes, supporting newly identified students/differentiation, and family engagement

Attendees will also:

  • Receive the most up-to-date information from Mark Schwingle, Ph.D. (Education Consultant - Gifted/Talented, AP, and IB DPI Teaching and Learning Team)
  • Learn about the TOPS tool to increase representation of students in potentially gifted students
  • Gain knowledge of the process to implement TOPS tool at the district, school, and classroom levels
  • Review WISEdash to identify the disproportionality of Excellent Gaps in local data
  • Collaboratively network and learn together
