Session Topic:  

If there was a program out there that could improve math and reading scores by 11percential points, your district would definitely be interested. Research indicates “SEL interventions that address CASEL’s five core competencies increased students’ academic performance by 11 percentile points, compared to students who did not participate in such SEL programs.” (CASEL, 2019).  This workshop will give you the tools to implement a comprehensive SEL program based on the ASCA Mindsets and Behaviors along with the 5 core competencies of SEL according to CASEL: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills and responsible decision making.

We will unpack the Wisconsin Department of Public Instructions SEL grade level competencies.  Learn how SEL blends with other school initiatives like PBIS and ACP.  Walk away knowing what you are already doing and where you need to fill in the gaps to have the greatest impact on your students social emotional growth.

Registration includes lunch.

If it is not possible for you to secure payment from your school district prior to the workshop, we suggest that you pay personally and request reimbursement from your school district. Receipts will be available. CANCELLATIONS: Cancellations must be faxed (920-492-5965) or e-mailed five (5) working days prior to the date of the event. We are unable to provide refunds for no shows.
