Workshop Description:
Preschool inclusion is important for results in positive outcomes for students, but what should it look like in daily practice? Do you want to provide more inclusive opportunities for students but just don’t know where to start? Do you currently provide services in an inclusive setting but want to examine your practices and service delivery? If so this workshop is for you.
This full-day workshop for early childhood teams will explore:
- IEP development that leads to more inclusive services
- Determining service delivery options based on student’s needs
- Identifying roles and responsibilities of inclusive team members
- The use of quality universal instructional strategies
- Designing and delivering specially designed instruction
- Effective strategies for collaboration
The focus is on working as a team to provide high-quality inclusive services in your program. Participants will be given opportunities to collaborate with other colleagues regarding how to best implement inclusive services into their own programs.
Audience: General educators, special education teachers, related service providers, administrators, paraprofessionals and any other professionals that work with young children with IEPs. Attendance as a team is recommended but not required.
