Dates: Jan. 27, 2020 & September 24, 2020, HELD VIRTUAL (Two-part series)

Time:  8:30-3:00 (check-in is 8:00 a.m.)

Location: CESA 7, 595 Baeten Road, Green Bay, WI  (Please note - lunch will be on your own.)

Description:  By this point in their year, you know your students and their needs well. Come learn how to leverage Gradual Release of Responsibility (GRR) to assist in building your own knowledge and skills to assist in meeting the needs of your current and future students. Join us at CESA 7 for two sessions to reboot your universal instruction with GRR. Literacy Specialist, Charla Meyer, and Readiness Specialist, Marci Waldron-Kuhn will help you find ways to make your learning targets come alive through the GRR model along with enhancing or creating the workshop model in your classroom.  By incorporating social emotional learning strategies, student engagement techniques, differentiated instruction and assessment, both you and your students will be ready to learn. 

Audience:  K-12 Classroom Teachers, Instructional Coaches, and Administrators (Currently using GRR or new to GRR we’ll offer tips and techniques to boost your level of GRR Instructional Framework implementation.)

Outcomes:  

  • Understanding and utilizing the phases of GRR; Focused Instruction, Guided Instruction, Collaborating Learning, and Independent Learning.
  • Providing clarity to your students by writing and using daily learning targets and success criteria to monitor evidence of student learning
  • Using formative assessments to guide instructional decisions that inform small group and whole group instruction
  • Teaching and planning small group instruction
  • Embedding daily collaborative learning opportunities for students 

Fees:  

  • $175 per participant for CESA 7 Full Membership districts
  • $195 per participant for CESA 7 Traditional/Limited Membership districts
  • $215 per participant for Non-CESA 7 districts
