Canceled - Design Thinking + App Development = Increased Student Engagement

During the two day workshop participants will participate in activities to build their capacity to increase student engagement by embedding Design Thinking and App Development to develop opportunities for students to apply their learning in any content area.

 Day 1 Goals (Unplugged)
-Understand the principles of the Design Thinking Process
-Relate the Design Thinking Process to teaching and learning
-Develop an App Prototype by applying the Design Thinking Process

Day 2 Goals (Plugged)
-Experience using an app development tool (i.e. code.org App Lab, MIT App Inventor)
-Code an App
-Develop a plan to integrate Design Thinking and App Development into content area

Who should attend: 6-12 Classroom teachers, STEM leaders, Technology Specialist, Technology Integration Coaches  (There will be no assumed prior knowledge)

Registration Fees" $50 per participant
