Join CESA 10 and our state Fine Arts and Creativity Education consultant for a day of learning! WHO: The AM session will be tailored to the content areas of the arts participants (art & design, dance, music, and theatre). All arts standards areas can be reviewed, respective of the participants’ content focus. The PM session is also for all arts educators.

AGENDA:

9am-11:30am WI DPI Arts Standards & Resources– The day will investigate two areas - arts standards and assessments. Educators for art, music, theatre, and dance in the morning session will be guided through the standards by WI DPI Arts and Creativity Education Consultant, Julie Palkowski. All participants will have an opportunity to navigate their respective standards (or at least a draft), see accompanying resources online, and share ideas for implementation into the classroom. Check the content websites to learn more about the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction Model Academic Standards. Bring your laptop or tablet with you for the session.

11:30am-12:30pm Lunch

12:30pm-3pm Arts Assessment and Application - Join us for a review of arts assessment strategies, methods of data collection, and additional application in the arts. Bring your laptop or tablet with you for the session.

This workshop is offered at no additional cost to those districts participating in School Improvement (LS1) including Abbotsford, Altoona, Augusta, Bloomer, Bruce, Chippewa Falls, Colby, Eleva-Strum, Flambeau, Gilman, Gilmanton, Granton, Greenwood, Ladysmith, Lake Holcombe, Loyal, Mondovi, Neillsville, New Auburn, Osseo-Fairchild, Owen-Withee, and Spencer. (Discount will be automatically applied.)

The cost for all other participants will be $500 per workshop.
