I’ve finished F&Ping, now what? Using the data beyond the Data Wall!
The focus of this workshop will be to utilize Benchmark Assessment data and other classroom data to create and plan for small group instruction including guiding reading groups and strategy groups that are designed to meet the needs of all learners and move them forward in their literacy learning.
Outcomes:
- Understanding the purpose of the F&P Benchmark Assessment
- Utilizing F&P Benchmark Assessments to determine students’ strengths and needs
- Growing our knowledge of text complexity to understand how reading expectations change as the text becomes more complex
- Creating small groups based on common needs
- Intentionally planning small group instruction

Guided Reading Second Edition by Fountas and Pinnell
The Reading Strategies Book by Jennifer Serravallo
