CESA 4 will be hosting Brian J, from GSAFE to create and sustain GSAs (Gender and Sexuality Alliances/Gay Straight Alliances) for students.  

GSAs come in many shapes and forms:

  • have a positive impact on the health and wellbeing of LGBTQ+ students 
  • increase positive overall school climate 
  • bring safety to our schools.

Brian J, has worked with GSAs for over 20 years.  He has also supported many school districts across the state create policy, procedure and compliance with supporting LGBTQ+ youth.

Cost: $100 per person

Participant Cancellation Policy: You must contact CESA #4 to cancel attendance one week prior to the scheduled event, unless otherwise stated in the event details. CESA #4 will only provide full refund of registration fees depending on individual circumstances. Refunds depend upon the ability of CESA #4 to cancel any financial obligations created by the registration such as meals, materials, etc. CESA #4 reserves the right to cancel any workshop due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by e-mail or phone if a workshop is cancelled. If a participant is a 'no show' the school will be billed for the registration fee, or loss of the 'free' attendance slot.

Weather Conditions: If a workshop has been cancelled due to weather conditions, every effort will be made to reschedule the workshop. If weather conditions are questionable, please call CESA #4 Voice Mail at (608) 786-4800; Toll Free (800) 514-3075. A message will be posted regarding workshop weather cancellations.

Dietary Restrictions: CESA #4 will make every attempt to accommodate dietary restrictrions as noted in a user's MyQuickReg profile; however, we encourage anyone with a dietary restriction or preference to bring food items in case the event menu cannot fully accommodate. Other Helpful Hints: Room temperatures vary from one workshop location to another, so bring a jacket or sweater for maximum comfort.

Additional Accommodations: If you need an accommodation to participate including interpreter services (sign language or other spoken language) please email the workshop contact to set up these services. A two-week notice is appreciated.
