This training is for new mentors of beginning teachers or mentors who would like more information on effective mentoring practices.  There will be an hour allowed for lunch as lunch will not be provided.  Participants are welcome to bring a lunch or leave for lunch.

 

Outcomes will be:

  • Understand the role of a mentor and elements of a successful mentoring relationship.
  • Explain how quality mentoring and induction supports beginning teacher developent and retention.
  • Assess beginning teacher needs and plan for timely support.
  • Identify Key educator supports related to the Educator Effectiveness system.
