This training is for educators supporting the social and emotional needs of students with IEPs. It is beneficial to those working with students with autism, students with emotional behavioral disabilities, or other neurodiverse students. Areas of social and emotional learning addressed include social communication, flexibility, resilience, sensory process, self-regulation and executive functioning.

Workshop Learning Objectives

• Increased understanding of the CCR-IEP 5 Step Process, with a focus on students with autism and students with emotional/behavioral disabilities.

• Application of Steps 1, 2 and 3 of the Five Step Process to support teams in developing IEPs designed to improve access, engagement, and progress for students.

• Practice using root cause analysis to identify disability related needs of students in the areas of social emotional learning, including social

communication, sensory processing, self-regulation, flexibility, resilience, and executive functioning.

• Identify strategies to use in preparing for and participating in IEP team meetings.

• Awareness of CCR-IEP resources.

Cancellation Policy:

Any registration cancellation must be received three days prior to the event date for a refund to be issued. Persons registering and not in attendance on the day of the session will be charged the full registration fee (substitution are accepted). CESA 12 reserves the right to cancel any session due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by email or phone if a cancellation occurs.

Weather conditions:

If a workshop has been cancelled due to weather conditions, every effort will be made to reschedule the workshop. Participants will be notified via email through myQuickReg.com if a cancellation occurs. Please make sure all your contact information is correct on myQuickReg.com

Other Helpful Hints: Room temperatures vary from one workshop location to another, so bring a jacket or sweater for maximum comfort. All workshop registrations begin a 1/2 hour prior to the event start time.
