This workshop is presented by Gwen Skoyen, Director of College & Career Readiness for CESA 10
Learn about exciting changes ahead in the workforce, including future potential careers for our current elementary students! With the rapidly changing workplace, it will become increasingly important for students to possess vital employability (or "soft" skills) in order to adapt and succeed. Participants will learn about sixteen instructional strategies to begin instilling employability skills in to the classroom, regardless of the age of students. The workshop will focus on teachers assessing their current instructional practices to discover creative ways to incorporate more employability skill strategies into their lessons and increase student engagement.
- Participants should bring a laptop to this workshop.
This workshop is FREE for educators from school districts who subscribe to the LS2 - College & Career Readiness services, including the districts of Abbotsford, Altoona, Bloomer, Bruce, Cadott, Chippewa Falls, Colby, Eleva-Strum, Flambeau, Gilmanton, Greenwood, Lake Holcombe, Loyal, Mondovi, Neillsville, New Auburn, Osseo-Fairchild, Owen-Withee, Regis Catholic Schools, and Spencer.
