Purpose:  This training provides participants with the knowledge and skills needed to conduct effective resource mapping at their local sites.  The actual mapping of your school's resources does not take place during the training session.  Resource mapping is a component of the REACh Framework/school planning process, and enables educators to coordinate resources to most effectively respond to the learning needs of students.  Participants will be introduced to activities in the four stages of the resource mapping process: pre-mapping, mapping, strategic implementation, and evaluation.  Participants will leave with the tools and strategies needed for working as a professional learning community to conduct effective resource mapping.

Presenter:  Sue Wellnitz

Prerequisites:  This training is open to anyone who is interested in learning about resource mapping.

Audience:  Participants are encouraged to come as a school team including, at minimum, a building principal, special education teacher, general education teacher, and a parent/family member.  A pupil services staff member is highly recommended.  Participation is most helpful when a leadership team participates for the duration of the training.

Timeline:  8-8:30 AM - Rolls & Networking; 8:30 AM - Training Begins

Location:  Holiday Inn Hotel, 1001 Amber Avenue, Stevens Point, WI  54482
