Ever wonder what we are supposed to be observing and how we do it? What are the most effective ways of observation and how does one
plan for a child’s learning based on the observations that they collect? Using a digital camera, either for still or motion (movie) shots has
been an effective tool for making this connection with families and therapists. We will be learning the technical side of the camera - how to
download video, creating storage techniques, and ideas for keeping them all organized so they are meaningful to use.
Objectives that will be covered through this workshop include:
Importance of observation
- What and how of observation
- Tools to observe with
- Highlighting digital cameras as a featured tool
- Planning and implementing from observations with families
- Technical aspects o?f the cameras
