This training is demonstrated on the most current version of the Infinite Campus Product and will reference Wisconsin specific data or fields when applicable.
Direct Certification (DC) is the process by which children are deemed “categorically eligible” for free meals under the National School Lunch Program (NSLP). Categorical eligibility is conferred if the child’s household receives benefits through the Federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and, in some cases, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) or the Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR). Directly certifying categorically eligible children ensures they receive free NSLP and School Breakfast Program meals without further need for the household to submit an application.
This course will walk users through creating the direct certification file as well as bringing it back into Infinite Campus. Course Number: FR 1116.
