Overview

Participants will revisit essential school-wide systems (data, teaching, acknowledgment, and interventions) and use the Team Implementation Checklist to self-assess current implementation and action plan around identified needs. In addition, participant will look at the Benchmarks of Quality to begin to understand the use of the tool in self-evaluation. Tier 1 PBIS leadership teams should attend this training.

Prerequisite: Universal Team Training, Days 1 & 2, Implementing Universal Tier 1

Participants should bring: Tier 1 data in “Big Five” format, list of all group interventions currently in place in your school, Universal/Tier 1 data for 1-3 students who seem to need more than simple Tier 2 Interventions (behavior data: OSS, ISS, time-outs, attendance, SWIS graphs: time of day location, type of behavior, Academic Data: grades, DIBELS, etc.), recommended resource Responding to Problem Behavior in Schools: The Behavior Education Program by Crone, Horner, Hawken,

Objectives: Modify/create a Tier 2 intervention system; review/create process for effective communication and data sharing between Tier 1 & Tier 2 teams; learn to use data for decision-making and on-going progress monitoring

Building Level PBIS Teams that may include the following: Building Administrator, External and Internal Coaches, Regular Education Teachers that represent grade levels, Special Education Teacher, Social Worker and/or Psychologist, Special Needs Teacher, Paraprofessional, and family members.

WPS3The pupil services professional has the ability to use research, research methods and knowledge about issues and trends to improve practice in schools and classrooms.
WPS6The pupil services professional is able to address comprehensively the wide range of social, emotional, behavioral and physical issues and circumstances which may limit pupils’ abilities to achieve positive learning outcomes through development, implementation and evaluation of system-wide interventions and strategies.

Cancellation Policy:

Any registration cancellation must be received by the registration deadline date stated on the event for a refund to be issued. Persons registering and not in attendance on the day of the session will be charged the full registration fee (substitutions are accepted). CESA 12 reserves the right to cancel any session due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by email or phone if a cancellation occurs.

Weather conditions:
