Meeting 2: “Water Media Effects”

This workshop is all about water, alcohol, washes, stains, bleeds, and blooms.  It’s taking time-honored watercolor and acrylic techniques and " blowing them out of the water"!  We will be working with color, and experimenting with opaque, translucent, and transparent applications of paint.  With fluid acrylics and heavy-bodied acrylics, we will create a variety of textured surfaces with varying degrees of transparency.  We will work with watercolors in the morning session and acrylic in the afternoon. You will leave the workshop with two of your own authentic works of art. Lessons learned throughout the day can be applied to classroom instruction.   

Participants will also have networking time to discuss local concerns and successes.

Prior to this event, participants will be sent a list of supplies that will be needed for the day. Please watch your email!

Cost: $100 per participant, per workshop, for CIA Member School Districts; lunch will be provided 

• $200 per person, per participant for non-member districts; lunch will be provided
  Participants will have the option to buy additional supplies from the artist the day of the event
