Fall Training for Data Specialists: Using WISExplore Resources to Support Continuous Improvement

Date:  October 30-31, 2019

Hosted and Facilitated by DPI Partners with the WISExplore Team

Purpose: This face-to-face learning opportunity will bring teams together to build capacity for supporting continuous improvement in districts and their schools. Participants will learn about current, new, and enhanced WISExplore resources and tools that have been used in the field, and develop plans for strategic application within a continuous improvement process.

Participants:  CESA Data Specialists

Fees:  

  • Identified CESA Data Specialists will not be invoiced
  • $50 registration fee per participant includes continental breakfast and lunch for 2 days.

Work Session Outcome & Topics:  Data Specialists will further their expertise by:

  • Developing skills and confidence in using WISEdash, the Data Inquiry Journal, and state report card.
  • Learning how/when to use tools to support data leadership
  • Understanding the components of a Needs Assessment
  • Advancing their understanding of practices inquiry
  • Relating the processes of data inquiry and continuous improvement
  • Planning professional learning activities within their local context

Technology - What to Bring:

  • Laptop computer with access to the internet
  • LCD Projector for each Team
  • Power strip/extension cord
  • User rights access to local district data in WISEdash for Districts
CANCELLATIONS: Cancellations must be faxed (920-492-5965) or e-mailed to the PERSON LISTED AS THE EVENT CONTACT five (5) working days prior to the date of the event unless other cancellation information is noted in the specific event.
