Initial Educator Seminar

These sessions are designed to deepen the understanding of content and instructional practices through active participation in effective professional development related to the professional Wisconsin Educator Standards. Each session engages the learner by modeling strategies, exploring classroom application techniques, and addressing student needs. Participants will build a network with other new teachers that promotes sharing and problem-solving along with opportunities to discuss individual teaching and learning issues with each other and the session consultant. Also, participants will receive a copy of “Management in the Active Classroom”, a valuable tool for building a strong SEL-focused classroom culture.

Dates & Time: October 3, 2019, at CESA 9; January 23, 2020, at CESA 9; & April 9, 2020, Virtual

                         8:30 am - 3:00 pm each day                    

Cost (includes training materials and lunch):
                        $150/person for School Improvement members
                        $250/person for non-School Improvement members

Audience:       Educators in their first year of service.
