Description:    
Digital Storytelling has moved from the age of being difficult and tied down to expensive equipment to being easy and free to create. Come see how you can integrate digital storytelling and Web 2.0 tools (featuring Flickr and voiceThread) into your curriculum.
In this workshop you will:

  • Get a brief overview on Digital Storytelling.
  • Go through the steps for creating a digital story including designing a basic story idea and finding images or video to support it.
  • Create a digital story quickly using VoiceThread.
  • Explore several other different Web 2.0 tools that are free to use to create digital stories.

  **  Please bring a portable computer with wireless Internet capability.

CESA 5 registration fee:     $ 60
**  Registration fees waived for educators who register by September 17th from full-service ITSS districts:  Adams-Friendship, Columbus, Montello, New Lisbon, Pardeeville, Portage, Poynette, Randolph, Rio, Rosholt, Wisconsin Dells.  Registration deadline is Thursday, September 24, 2009.

Cancellation Policy: Registered participants will receive a full refund if they cancel before 10 working days before an event, minus any material costs that have already been incurred. Because of our commitment to the trainer and the food vendor, participants who cancel less than 10 working days or do not attend, will be billed the full fee. CESA 5 reserves the right to cancel any event. Registered participants will be notified via email if a cancellation occurs and will receive a full refund. Inclement weather policy: Every effort will be made to hold an event. CESA 5 will notify participants via email as soon as possible if an event has been canceled due to weather conditions.
