Building a classroom culture where students want to come and learn is at the heart of this workshop. We will be walking through the elements of designing for engagement. From simple tricks to carefully created experiences this workshop will not only give you tools, but also technique to create playful and powerful learning moments in your classroom. Starting with the basics of gamification and immersive learning to the power of designing and constructing a road map to successfully carry these concepts forward into your practice. This workshop is playful and power packed. Ready, set, go!

Objectives: 

  • Practical ideas that are good for any age student and a small drop in activities for quick engagement.

 

  • Explore the power of play with activities and games that you could use in your classroom. 

 

  • Break down how to create a meaningful gamified experience for your students. From unit creation to whole class gamification systems.

Cancellation Policy:

Any registration cancellation must be received at least 8 business days before event in order for a full conference fee refund to be issued (full refunds do not include service fees. Service fees are nonrefundable).Registration cancellations received 1-7 business days before an event, a refund, minus $50 for each participant, will be issued. Persons who are registered, but not in attendance on the day of the session ("no call, no show") will be charged the full registration fee. CESA 6 reserves the right to cancel any session due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by email if a cancellation occurs.
