Fountas & Pinnell Classroom Support Workshop

The Fountas & Pinnell Classroom™ system supports whole group, small group,
and independent literacy learning for students PreK-6.

In this literacy support workshop, participants will explore the Classroom components of Interactive Read Aloud, Reading Mini-Lessons, Shared Reading, Phonics/Spelling/Word Study Lessons, Guided Reading, Independent Reading, and Book Clubs in order to better understand the components of the system and have a clear understanding of effective reading instruction and structures that can support literacy learning and reading engagement. There will also be a review of how to use The Fountas & Pinnell Literacy Continuum to observe for evidence of reading behaviors, identify teaching goals, and develop an understanding of the characteristics of texts.

Registration Fee: $100 for CESA 5 School Improvement Services Members
                             $150 for Non-Members

*Light breakfast and lunch will be provided*

Cancellation Policy: Registered participants will receive a full refund if they cancel before 10 working days before an event, minus any material costs that have already been incurred. Because of our commitment to the trainer and the food vendor, participants who cancel less than 10 working days or do not attend, will be billed the full fee. CESA 5 reserves the right to cancel any event. Registered participants will be notified via email if a cancellation occurs and will receive a full refund. Inclement weather policy: Every effort will be made to hold an event. CESA 5 will notify participants via email as soon as possible if an event has been canceled due to weather conditions.
