Dealing with parents can be intimidating in your first year of teaching, but there are several strategies that can help the communication go smoothly. In this session participants will discuss a variety of strategies to communicate student progress while engaging parents in the process.
Cost: $ Free per workshop for CESA 8 School Districts, $25 per workshop for non-members.

Now that participants have nearly a semester under their belt, it is the perfect time to re-examine how well behavior management plans are working and how to re-adjust course if necessary. Participants will have the opportunity to share behavior scenarios and brainstorm possible solutions.

Participants will discuss the benefits of timely, accurate, and frequent feedback. Together they will explore multiple ways to provide quality feedback in efficient ways. Additionally, the group will discuss how to use that data to inform instruction.
License Renewal & Reflective Practices |

This session will explain the variety of options for maintaining, renewing and/or transitioning to a lifetime teaching license. It will also give participants the opportunity to reflect on their previous year in the classroom, especially in identifying practices to continue and those to change. Participants will create a mini-action plan to be mentally, physically, emotionally, and academically prepared for next year.
