This is the fifth session in a series of professional development opportunities offered by CESA 10 consultants in conjunction with WI DPI Social Studies Consultant, Kris McDaniel. During this session we will explore Civic Engagement and how it applies to the classroom. We also look back at the learning done in the first 4 sessions, so districts can continue planning for communication and year 2's curriculum rollout.

Learning Outcomes will be:

  • Participants will gain understanding of Civic Engagement and strategies for the classroom.
  • Participants will reflect on Year 1 and game plan for curriculum rollout in Year 2.
  • Participants will draft a communication plan for rollout within their district.

This workshop is offered at no additional cost to those districts participating in School Improvement (LS1) including Abbotsford, Altoona,  Augusta, Bloomer, Bruce, Chippewa Falls, Colby, Eleva-Strum, Flambeau, Gilman, Gilmanton, Granton, Greenwood, Ladysmith, Lake Holcombe, Loyal, Mondovi, Neillsville, New Auburn, Osseo-Fairchild, Owen-Withee, and Spencer.  (Discount will be automatically applied.)

The cost for all other participants will be $500 per workshop.
