This training is for teachers that will be administering Dynamic Learning Maps, and need to complete the initial training. We will also have a discussion regarding how to navigate the DLM website and how that can be implemented into your classroom. Participants need to bring a fully charged device and their copy of student results from 2018-19 DLM Assessments. If you do not have a copy of student results - please request them from your DAC (District Assessment Coordinator).
Audience: Teachers who will be administering the DLM assessment for students
AM Session:
Focus on completion of REQUIRED training for DLM administration. This is the initial training for test administrators. If you have lapsed one year or more with the administration of the DLM, the initial training is required again to be certified to assess. This training takes 2.5 - 3 hours to complete. It will be done as a group and facilitated by a CESA 8 RSN Director from 8:30-11:30 am.
**NOTE: For staff who need to complete the one-hour recertification in MOODLE - we will have a room available for you to do that as well as network from 9:30-11:30 am. Several rooms/areas will be identified as workspaces for you to complete this and then you can participate in lunch and PM session. This will not be facilitated and will be on your own.
PM Session: 11:30 - End of Day: Lunch and Networking Session
This session will include lunch and networking. Instructionally embedded assessments will be reviewed (what these are, how you can use for 2020-21, how to support your instruction) per DLM/DPI training that RSN recently participated in. NEW Science Standards overview, and an overview of how to understand DLM results and use results to plan for student programming/IEP ideas. If time, DLM resources and PD will be shared with new learning.
Please email Brenda Jozwiak-Boldig at: bjboldig@cesa8.org if you have questions.
You will need a fully charged device, copies of DLM reports for 1 or more students on your caseload, access to KITE portal via an educator portal account and Moodle site. Please check with your DAC to ensure that your students are rostered for 19-20 assessments. You may have time to work on First Contact Survey and other planning for your students per the rosters if they are completed.
Cost to attend is $30.00
