Need valuable, ready to use strategies for teaching your ELs?

Presenter: Lori Menning,

CESA 6 Language and Culture Center Consultant

The Sheltered Instruction Observation Protocol (SIOP) Model is a research-based instructional model that has proven effective in addressing the academic needs of English learners (ELs). The SIOP Model consists of eight interrelated components:

  • Lesson Preparation

  • Strategies
  • Interaction
  • Practice/Application
  • Lesson Delivery
  • Review & Assessment

During this guided demonstration workshop we will combine research with ready to use strategies for sheltering instruction with ELs!

Guests concerned with food allergies must be aware of this risk. CESA 6 does not assume liability for adverse reactions to food consumed or items one may come into contact with while eating at a CESA 6 event. To better serve our guests with dietary restrictions or allergies, please go into your myQuickReg account and update the special accommodations section.
