** CANCELLED**Social Studies Inquiry and Classroom Connections using Quality Resources 2019-2020 (YEAR 2) DAY 2

Kris McDaniel, WI DPI Social Studies Consultant, is partnering with CESAs across the state to offer one-day workshops to assist districts with implementation of the revised social studies standards.  This workshop continues the kick off the Year 2 focus of "Curriculum" rollout encouraged by DPI. Kris will be in CESA 2 presenting, and CESA #12 will join via Zoom with Ellen Nelson as facilitator.

We are going to return to a deep dive into inquiry in the social studies classroom, and a deeper dive into quality resources. 

The day will include:

1. Discussion and brainstorming over “What’s in the Cabinet?” - 

• What tools and resources are already out there to help educators?

• Using rubrics to review resources 

2. Review parts of the inquiry cycle and different lesson examples.  

3. Receive an overview of work done by one CESA on using the Quality Materials Rubric with popular social studies resource sets.
