This two-day data review is designed for school or district teams to collaboratively investigate student performance or engagement data to inform future improvement planning.

Activities 

Teams (including the school principal) will engage in a structured data inquiry process to investigate the attainment, growth, and engagement of students in their school over the past one to three years. Teams will utilize online technology to access and study data findings, while documenting their work. Data findings will lead to a potential root cause process for critical data findings. Teams will leave with:

  • Essential achievement data questions
  • Current data charts and graphs that answer essential questions
  • Summarized and prioritized data findings 
  • Data-informed goals for improvement 
  • Highest likely root causes 
  • Possible actions for next steps 
  • A plan to continue data inquiry

What to Bring 

  • Leadership teams who understand the purpose for data inquiry 
  • Laptop computers 
  • LCD projector 
  • Extension power cords 
  • WISEdash for Districts access at the student analyst level 
  • Access to local interim assessments or data warehouse tools 

Each data team will choose the context for their team: 

  • K-8 Literacy or Mathematics (Forward, STAR, MAP, Etc.) 
  • K-12 Engagement (Attendance, Discipline, etc.) 
  • 8-12 College-Career (ACT, AP, Aspire, Graduation, etc.) 
  • English Learners (ACCESS, Forward ELA, ACT, Aspir

 

Registration fee:   (Fee includes meeting materials and lunch each day)

  • ESEA Consortium of Support Members:
    • $175/person or $500/team of 3;
      • each team member over 3 is $165/person 
  • All others:
    • $200/person or $575/team of 3;
      • each team member over 3 is $190/person

Cancellation Policy:

Any registration cancellation must be received at least 8 business days before event in order for a full conference fee refund to be issued (full refunds do not include service fees. Service fees are nonrefundable).Registration cancellations received 1-7 business days before an event, a refund, minus $50 for each participant, will be issued. Persons who are registered, but not in attendance on the day of the session ("no call, no show") will be charged the full registration fee. CESA 6 reserves the right to cancel any session due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by email if a cancellation occurs.
