Presenter: Kevin Anderson, DPI Science Consultant

Cost: $150, includes lunch

Description: Join your science colleagues from across CESA 2 and do a deep dive into the Science Standards. A major goal for the day will be to collaborate with teachers from across CESA 2 to create common assessments that align to the standards, inform instruction, and engage students in deep science learning. Let's get together and create some powerful science tools!

About the Presenter:

Kevin Anderson

Kevin Anderson earned a Ph.D. from the school’s Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis in 2012. Anderson’s role at DPI is to support Wisconsin educators in improving their science programs. His recent work includes maintaining a statewide calendar of STEM education professional development opportunities and supporting an elementary science book study in collaboration with the Wisconsin Society of Science Teachers. With the help of educators from around the state, he created science disciplinary literacy resources. He is also leading the charge to set up the statewide STEM Wisconsin network. This being a time of transition for many district science programs, Anderson aims to help schools and educators design and implement high quality science instruction throughout the PK-12 years.
