Description - This course is aligned with the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction Guidelines for EL/Bilingual-Bicultural Education and will focus on how to teach for biliteracy, in Spanish and English, in the United States. Participants will become familiar with the theory behind teaching for biliteracy, and will be introduced to biliteracy strategies that are used to teach Spanish and English to emerging bilingual students.  

Objectives - The course is designed to prepare the participant to demonstrate knowledge of and skill in the 10 Wisconsin Standards for Teacher Development and Licensure, as well as the 10 InTASC Standards.
