Description: Inclusion is more than a place and meeting the needs of a diverse group of learners requires collaboration and expertise from all staff in order to improve outcomes for all of our students.  Co-teaching is one service delivery option in supporting full inclusion and is more than two teachers in one room or one teach-one support. Both full inclusion and co-teaching require thoughtful, intentional planning for delivery of high quality instruction designed for each student to maximize learning with core instruction. Co-planning is an essential component for effective co-teaching and is a significant component in implementing effective co-teaching practices. To maximize learning opportunities and outcomes for all students, collaboration of resources and instructional strategies is essential.
