Critical Math for the ACT

Please join us for a day of learning with Sara Brown of Mathematics Institute of WIsconsin.  

The ACT has come and gone, so why would you want to think about it now? A closer look at the ACT College and Career Readiness Standards and the Wisconsin Standards for Mathematics (including MIDDLE SCHOOL standards) reveals critical connections that impact mathematics instruction beyond test preparation.

In this workshop, you will compare these two sets of content standards at the ACT proficiency level and explore the implications for classroom instruction when considering the Standards for Mathematical Practice. Understanding these connections can support districts as they make course and placement decisions for the upcoming year. Sample items will be explored.

This workshop is offered at a no additional cost to those districts participating in LS1 including Abbotsford, Augusta, Bloomer, Bruce, Cadott, Colby, Eleva-Strum, Flambeau, Gilman, Gilmanton, Granton, Greenwood, Ladysmith, Lake Holcombe, Loyal, Mondovi, Neillsville, New Auburn, Osseo-Fairchild, Owen-Withee, and Spencer.  (Discount will be automatically applied.)

The cost for all other CESA 10 districts will be $175 per participant, and the cost for all others will be $300 per participant.
