This workshop will explore different ways the ITL standards can be integrated with the arts.
Who Should Attend:
Art & Design, Dance, Music, Media Arts, and Theatre Educators
Registration Fee:
$25.00 - includes light breakfast & lunch
AGENDA:
9-11:30am Participants will:
- Explore music/theatre/dance/art standards and resources.
- Explore ITL standards and resources.
- Share potential for integration of content areas through common skills and activities with student learners.
11:30-12:15pm Lunch
12:15pm Participants will:
- Identify where ITL exists in arts content areas.
- Share what integration of ITL and arts content areas look like.
- Curating ideas (I.e. found online or created) and post within a Google Folder to share with others.
- Discuss what additional benefits and challenges exist for applications and integration of ITL with arts content areas. (I.e. Educator Effectiveness, Arts integration, professional development,etc.)
1pm Worktime for small groups or pairs to curate/create a resource or lesson plan to share with the online Google folder and with the participants at the session.
2pm Showcase of ideas from small groups/pairs with the entire group
3pm Departure
