Keynote Address: Dr. Heather Peshak George

Dr. George brings extensive experience in providing training and technical assistance in behavior across a continuum and variety of settings. She will be sharing insights into the district’s role in PBIS implementation.

Redefining the Role of the Team
You will learn strategies to specifically build or refine team structures.

Elephant in the Room: Talking Race in Safe Spaces
We’ll share internal and external barriers that prevent schools and districts from having meaningful conversations about race that lead to improved student outcomes.

Five Steps to Creating Positive Environments in the Classroom
We will provide five specific take-away steps with suggested strategies for relationship building, providing quick feedback and low-intensity error correction, and much more. Find an elbow partner because this session is collaborative.

  • 8:50 - 10:00 a.m. - Keynote/Dr. Heather Peshak George (Professor in the Department of Child and Family Studies at the University of South Florida within the Florida Center for Inclusive Communities (FCIC), a University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD).
  • 10:00 - 10:30 a.m. - Break and conversations around keynote message
  • 10:30 - 11:45 a.m. - Session A
  • 11:45 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. - Lunch with facilitated conversations around Session A and/or team action planning
  • 12:45 - 2:00 p.m. - Session B
  • 2:00 - 2:20 p.m. - Break and facilitated conversation around Session B
  • 2:20 - 3:35 p.m. - Session C
  • 3:35 - 3:45 p.m. Facilitated conversation around Session C

Fee:  $75.00 (Includes continental breakfast and lunch.)


Due to changing policies in many of our CESA 7 School District accounting offices, CESA 7 requests that all workshop fees be paid in advance with a check or purchase order. If it is not possible for you to secure payment from your school district prior to the workshop, we suggest that you pay personally and request reimbursement from your school district. Receipts will be available. CANCELLATIONS: Cancellations must be faxed (920-492-5965) or e-mailed five (5) working days prior to the date of the event. We are unable to provide refunds for no shows.
