“Ready or not, here comes the future!”
Many educational, and community, conversations are talking about what it means to be ‘Ready’.  Future Ready, College Ready, Community Ready, no matter which way, or by whom, the question is asked, these conversations come down to a question about learners having a profile equipped with the knowledge, skills, and dispositions to reach their future goals!

A ‘portrait of a graduate’ (PoG) is helping to shape a ‘broader definition of success’ across schools and communities.  As we all know that students are ‘more than a number’, we also know that collectively changing the narrative about ‘school success’ is a task that requires leadership, strategic planning, and stakeholder alignment.

The Portrait of a Graduate: Design. Position. Perform. workshops frame this important work and align efforts towards the development and realization of a shared ‘portrait of a graduate’.

Design: Learn the indicators of
a quality PoG. Design a custom DRAFT* of a PoG for your organization/school/classroom.

Position: Position the PoG to become a powerful navigation tool to map and guide the creation of powerful learning experiences.

Perform:  Reach new levels of performance, and fully bring the PoG to life inside of schools/classrooms so that as students learn today, they will see themselves positioned as being ‘ready’ for their tomorrow!

Outcomes:

  • Design...your Profile of a Graduate

  • Position ...the PoG as a shared vision for designing learning experiences’.

  • Perform… create a ‘plan on a page’ that sets the course for local performance targets
