Maximizing Leadership: The Leader in You (Rms 1/2)

Principals are the lead learners and facilitators of teacher success in their schools. However, this role has come under fire as the responsibilities and expectations continue to grow in complexity and ultimately results in high levels of stress and principal burnout. In order to maximize the principal’s effectiveness on learning, it is necessary to reconceptualize the role principals play in the school system. This professional development opportunity allows leaders of buildings (principals and associate principals) to understand their changing, albeit challenging role and the need for repositioning as instructional leaders while building professional capital in their schools in order to obtain the desired result of increased student achievement.
