The Wisconsin RtI Center’s School-wide Implementation Review (SIR) and the National PBIS Network’s Tiered Fidelity Inventory (TFI) are excellent tools to use to annually monitor your school's progress when implementing an Equitable Multi-level System of Support. These assessments measure the fidelity of your system.
The assessments help schools plan for further implementation. The assessments provide immediate feedback showing your current level of implementation and specific steps to continue your journey.
When completing assessments for two or more consecutive years, the reports give growth information for your school.
Additional benefits of taking the assessments include:
-
Establishing a baseline for implementation
-
Demonstrating growth around systemic equitable practices
-
Affirming the importance of effective evidence-based academic/behavioral/social-emotional instructional practices
-
Documenting to stakeholders areas of growth and refinement
-
Clearly setting your school's path to high levels of learning for ALL children
WI RtI Center Staff together with CESA 8 staff will support teams as they take the SIR and/or TFI, assist in interpreting the results and developing action steps that focus on and connect to continuous improvement outcomes.
Reminder: Schools applying for recognition in reading, mathematics, and/or behavior, completion of the SIR and TFI are required. For more about the recognition guidelines.
Note: In order to take the TFI and get the results immediately, you will need to conduct some interviews with a few staff and students (10) prior to February 19, 2019. Contact Jennifer at jgrenke@cesa8.org for more information regarding the TFI by February 8, 2019.
