Join us for our 4th Annual Highly Qualified Paraprofessional Training!

Paraprofessionals play a vital role in the success of students and schools.  
This training is designed to provide beneficial skills and strategies to paraprofessionals at all levels.
Choose from a wide variety of breakout sessions that will transform your profession!

The Highly Qualified Paraprofessional Training provides many components towards the completion of competency skills for a Highly Qualified Paraprofessional.  However, each school district is responsible for determining and fulfilling the requirements of their staff.  Keynote Speaker: Jason Kotecki
Balancing Act: Overcoming Adultitus Amidst the Stress of Everyday

Jason Kotecki is an artist, author, and speaker who considers himself a professional reminder-er and permission granter. He is also a husband, dad, Batman fan, Star Wars watcher, retro T-shirt wearer, and avid eater of sugar-laden cereal. Jason is the author of five books, including Penguins Can’t Fly +39 Other Rules That Don’t Exist.
Through his inspirational thought leadership and humorous anecdotes, his mission is to demonstrate
how the secrets of childhood are timeless.

Breakout Sessions Include:

Basic Sign Language, Mandatory Reporting, Restorative Conversations, LGBTQ+ Discussion, Building Relationships with Challenging Students, Confidentiality, Understanding Student Behaviors, and
Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) Suicide Prevention


 


Registration fee:  $150 per person
Includes: breakfast, lunch, and certificate of completion.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Registrants receive a full refund if they cancel at least 2 weeks before the event. Because of commitments to the venue, presenters, vendors and participants, no refund of any kind, for any reason, will be given for cancellation requests received after July 29, 2019. Registrations ARE transferable within your organization. CESA 5 WILL NOT CANCEL THE EVENT DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER. CESA 5 reserves the right to cancel any event. Registrants will be notified via email if cancellation occurs and will receive a full refund. This policy replaces the cancellation policy stated below.

 

Cancellation Policy: Registered participants will receive a full refund if they cancel before 10 working days before an event, minus any material costs that have already been incurred. Because of our commitment to the trainer and the food vendor, participants who cancel less than 10 working days or do not attend, will be billed the full fee. CESA 5 reserves the right to cancel any event. Registered participants will be notified via email if a cancellation occurs and will receive a full refund. Inclement weather policy: Every effort will be made to hold an event. CESA 5 will notify participants via email as soon as possible if an event has been canceled due to weather conditions.
