Kelly Gallagher, California educator and author of several ELA educational titles, including Readicide, Write Like This, In the Best Interest of Students, and 180 Days (co-authored with Penny Kittle) visits CESA 3 for a two-day workshop to help ELA educators do what's best for their students.  June 18-19, 2020.

The cost of the two-day workshop is $500.  Districts sending three or more teachers will pay $450 per individual.

Kelly Gallagher teaches English Language Arts at Magnolia High School in Anaheim, California, where he has worked for nearly 35 years. He is the former co-director of the South Basin Writing Project at California State University, Long Beach, and the former president of the Secondary Reading Group for the International Literacy Association. Participant Cancellation Policy: You must contact CESA #3 to cancel prior to the scheduled event. CESA #3 will only provide full refund of registration fees depending on individual circumstances. Refunds depend upon the ability of CESA #3 to cancel any financial obligations created by the registration such as meals, materials, etc. CESA #3 reserves the right to cancel any workshop due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by e-mail or phone if a workshop is cancelled. If a participant is a 'no show' the school will be billed for the registration fee, or loss of the 'free' attendance slot. Weather Conditions: If a workshop has been cancelled due to weather conditions, every effort will be made to reschedule the workshop. If weather conditions are questionable, please check the CESA 3 webpage or listen to your local radio station for event cancellations or delays. Accommodations: If you need an accommodation to participate including interpreter services (sign language or other spoken language) please email the workshop contact to set up these services. A two-week notice is appreciated. CESA #3 is handicapped accessible.
