Teaching about the Holocaust

Teaching Holocaust history demands a high level of sensitivity and keen awareness of the complexity of the subject matter. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum's educators have developed guidelines to assist you in presenting this history in a thought-provoking and responsible way. Content and methodology suggestions will help you decide on an approach and emphasis. The guidelines, while reflecting approaches appropriate for effective teaching in general, are particularly relevant to holocaust education. The guidelines will be referenced throughlout the workshop. 

Audience: English Teachers, Social Studies Teachers

There is no charge for this event, however you must register in order to attend. Lunch will be on your own.
