This 3-part series is free and open to any and all school or district improvement teams as part of WI DPI's Technical Assistance Team at CESA #4.  The CESA #4 team will teach, support, and coach school and district teams through the key aspects of continuous improvement with the intent that they will be able to continue this work on their own in in the future.

Priority access will be provided for identified schools under ESSA and notified districts under IDEA in the Joint Notification Packet. If you are interested in getting a team signed up for this event we encourage you to sign up early as registration will be capped at 40.

 

March 1 – 
Continuous Improvement Part I

Objectives

  • Understand WI’s Continuous Improvement Process and build readiness for change.
  • Learn about the work of a School Improvement Team.
  • Acquire knowledge of leadership skills that can support improvement efforts.
  • Conduct a focused ESSA and/or IDEA data inquiry using the WISE Inquiry Process with specific emphasis on student data inquiry, priority findings, root cause analysis, and practices inquiry.

 

March 26 - 

Continuous Improvement Part II

Objectives

  • Learn about next steps in the WISE Inquiry Process (analyze practices inquiry findings, selecting innovations, planning for implementation).
  • Gain basic understanding of Implementation Science.
  • Acquire knowledge of leadership skills that can support improvement efforts
  • Create an improvement plan that includes measurable goal(s), strategies/innovations for improvement, action steps, and timeline of monthly meeting dates and times.

 

April 26, 2019 - 
Continuous Improvement Part III

Professional Learning Service Objectives:

  1. Continue to deepen knowledge of Implementation Science
    * Begin constructing practice profile
    * Identify method for measuring changes in practice (fidelity assessments, monitor implementation)
    * Identify method for measuring changes in student learning
  2. Refine the Implementation Plan with individual coaching and support
ALL POLICIES APPLY UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED IN THE INDIVIDUAL EVENT DETAILS.


Participant Cancellation Policy: You must contact CESA 4 to cancel attendance one week prior to the scheduled event unless otherwise stated in the individual event details. CESA 4 will only provide full refund of registration fees depending on individual circumstances. Refunds depend upon the ability of CESA 4 to cancel any financial obligations created by the registration such as meals, materials, etc. CESA 4 reserves the right to cancel any workshop due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by e-mail or phone if a workshop is cancelled. If a participant is a 'no show' the school will be billed for the registration fee, or loss of the 'free' attendance slot.


Dietary Restrictions: Because of the number of meals served, number of ingredients used, and food product changes from vendors, we cannot guarantee dietary restrictions as indicated in a user's myQuickReg profile will be accommodated. Participants with dietary restrictions such as food allergies should plan to bring their own refreshments.


Weather Conditions: If a workshop has been cancelled due to weather conditions, every effort will be made to reschedule the workshop. If weather conditions are questionable, please call CESA 4 Voice Mail at (608) 786-4800; Toll Free (800) 514-3075. A message will be posted regarding workshop weather cancellations.


Additional Accommodations: If you need an accommodation to participate including interpreter services (sign language or other spoken language) please email the workshop contact to set up these services. A two-week notice is appreciated.
