Getting Started with Leveled Literacy Intervention (LLI)

The Fountas & Pinnell Leveled Literacy Intervention is a powerful, short-term intervention, that provides daily, intensive, small-group instruction to supplement classroom literacy teaching. The LLI systems are designed to be used with small groups of students who need intensive support to achieve grade-level competencies in grades K through 12. LLI turns struggling readers into successful readers with engaging leveled books and fast-paced, systematically designed lessons.

This workshop is designed for those new to LLI. It will provide an overview of the system with tips and tricks for getting started. The workshop will also provide an overview of the Fountas & Pinnell Benchmark Assessment System (BAS), which will be used to determine reading levels, form initial groups for LLI, and monitor student progress.

Cancellation Policy: Registered participants will receive a full refund if they cancel before 10 working days before an event, minus any material costs that have already been incurred. Because of our commitment to the trainer and the food vendor, participants who cancel less than 10 working days or do not attend, will be billed the full fee. CESA 5 reserves the right to cancel any event. Registered participants will be notified via email if a cancellation occurs and will receive a full refund. Inclement weather policy: Every effort will be made to hold an event. CESA 5 will notify participants via email as soon as possible if an event has been canceled due to weather conditions.
