Most of us are going through life just fine when something happens-the question is how do we bounce back quickly and effectively? You don't want to recover in 6 years-you want to do so in a timely manner so that you can continue life. How do we create an environment when we work with students and staff that have experienced loss, stressors, trauma, etc? We will work to identify warning signs and develop resiliency and self-care plans.
Audience Outcomes:
- Increase awareness and understand the impact of stress, burnout and compassion fatigue on the comprehensive education/academic environment.
- Identify signs and symptoms of compassion fatigue, both professionally and personally.
- Create a professional self-care plan to support and improve effectiveness of current and future work with students impacted by stress, loss, and trauma.
Cost:
- $50 for Safe and Healthy Schools Members
- $75 for Non-Members
