Collaborative and Proactive Solutions (CPS) is the emipirically supported model Dr. Ross Greene describes in his influential books, The Explosive Child, Lost at School, Lost and Found and Raising Human Beings. The CPS model provides a compassionate understanding of kid's behavioral challenges and a non-adversarial, effective approach for reducing challenging behavior, improving communication, and repairing relationships. This model has been implemented by countless families, in schools, in-patient units, residential facilities, treatment programs, and juvenile detention facilities. You will leave with an understanding of the underpinnings of the Collaborative & Proactive Solutions approach, along with practical assessment and intervention tools that can be brought back and used in diverse settings.
Dr. Green's "Collaborative and Proactive Solutions" training will be enhanced by pre-learning opportunities and two post-training implementation and planning interactive webinars using Dr. Greene's "Walking Tour for Educators", facilitated by Debra Wall, CESA 8, and Dr. Matthew Collins, CESA 9. Webinar links will be sent to registrants prior to the first session. All sessions start at 3:30 pm and end at 4:30 pm. First session is April 25, 2019. Second session is May 16, 2019.
