Our new student activity is an inquiry based project where students, grades 6-8,  pick one of three Information & Technology Literacy standard content areas and create Public Service Announcement (or PSA) in movie format.  Students in teams or individual will create a PSA for their peers, adhere to guidelines for copyright and research requirements, and follow a rubric for the actual video.   Students and their partner teacher will attend a Fall PSA Day on Oct. 29, where they will learn how to use the video editing software chosen for this project and learn how this project will be executed and evaluated.  Successful videographers will be invited to a Spring PSA Day on March 8, 2019, where we will share videos and learn new skills.

The grant will pay for student transportation, materials, substitute costs, CESA grant coordinator visits to your schools, and lunches.

This event is limited to 4 schools. School may bring up to 5 students and 1 teacher.

Cancellation Policy:

Any registration cancellation must be received three days prior to the event date for a refund to be issued. Persons registering and not in attendance on the day of the session will be charged the full registration fee (substitution are accepted). CESA 12 reserves the right to cancel any session due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by email or phone if a cancellation occurs.

Weather conditions:

If a workshop has been cancelled due to weather conditions, every effort will be made to reschedule the workshop. Participants will be notified via email through myQuickReg.com if a cancellation occurs. Please make sure all your contact information is correct on myQuickReg.com

Other Helpful Hints: Room temperatures vary from one workshop location to another, so bring a jacket or sweater for maximum comfort. All workshop registrations begin a 1/2 hour prior to the event start time.
