Are you working really hard on student goals for reading and writing? Are your students “in” on those goals? How? Goal setting and conferring go hand in hand when it comes to reading and writing workshop. This pointed and guarded time for independent work during workshop can be bolstered by helping readers and writers set goals that THEY OWN! We will share resources for goal setting that make sense for the classroom and dig into strategies for connecting with readers and writers during conferring. This workshop is part of our “Workshop and” Series that aims to offer workshops related to the important work of teaching and learning in a workshop classroom for readers and writers.
