Goal of this Project:

This two (2) day workshop goal will be to increase the number of meaningful, integrated library and digital learning plans to support and improve programming in districts throughout the state.

The Need for Library Planning:

Based on information gathered from a 2017-2018 survey of Wisconsin library media specialist, research, feedback from the field, and consensus from the School Library Work Group, there is both a need and a desire for library planning tools and assistance across the state.  The Future Ready Librarian framework allows for library programs to effectively increase student achievement, provide equitable resources to all, and be a key collaborative part of district learning initiatives.

 

What the Project Includes

Two face-to-face meetings/work days with additional tasks and discussions between sessions.

  • Prior to first meeting, library media specialists will gather existing district plans and/or other documents (suggestions will be provided) to facilitate creating a plan
  • First meeting (Fall) will provide an overview of the process, an explanation of tools, and time to begin work
  • Google Community or Classroom and/or webinars will be provided for communication and collaboration between meetings.

Second meeting (Spring) will focus on sharing work and planning for integration and other future action items, such as presentation to school boards; structure will be flexible based on need

Registration includes the lunch, presentation, access to online materials and resources

  • $50 per participant for CESA 7 Learning Services Partnership districts
Due to changing policies in many of our CESA 7 School District accounting offices, CESA 7 requests that all workshop fees be paid in advance with a check or purchase order. If it is not possible for you to secure payment from your school district prior to the workshop, we suggest that you pay personally and request reimbursement from your school district. Receipts will be available. CANCELLATIONS: Cancellations must be faxed (920-492-5965) or e-mailed five (5) working days prior to the date of the event. We are unable to provide refunds for no shows. DIETARY ACCOMMODATIONS: Due to varied dietary restrictions, CESA 7 cannot guarantee that all special dietary accommodations can be met. CESA 7 makes every effort to accommodate basic dietary restrictions with advance notice, but please plan accordingly.
