The morning session will provide participants an opportunity to explore the new Academic Standards for Science. The learning objectives for this session include: Understanding the vision and philosophy of science education in Wisconsin;  recognizing the three dimensions of the Next Generation Science Standards in the Wisconsin Standards for Science and relating the three dimensions to instructional and learning shifts.

The afternoon session will include an interactive opportunity to unpack the standards and understand the three dimensions. Learning objectives for this session include: Understanding the difference between science and engineering as it relates to the WSS; recognizing how phenomena help to link science and engineering; understanding how the WSS are organized and what they mean; and understanding how the three dimensions work together to create a holistic approach to science as a discipline.

Cancellation Policy:

Any registration cancellation must be received three days prior to the event date for a refund to be issued. Persons registering and not in attendance on the day of the session will be charged the full registration fee (substitution are accepted). CESA 12 reserves the right to cancel any session due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by email or phone if a cancellation occurs.
