Personalized Learning

Launch. Leverage. Lead.

Making ideas...happen!

“I’ve got an idea!” - Innovative Teacher

The CESA 6 Learning Strategies Center’s Personalized Learning: Launch. Leverage. Lead. workshops are designed to move your ideas into immediate action. A person, and a learner, are one in the same, each unique and each with their future ahead of them.  While ‘personalized learning’ has so many definitions and interpretations, the learning strategies center tries to keep it simple: The vision of our Learning Strategies Center @CESA6 is to lead change so that every learner is positioned to develop, and depend on, the attributes of a powerful learner as they are learning today, so they are prepared for their tomorrow.  We start with a powerful profile of a learner/graduate and customize learning experiences with learner-centered strategies while learner move forward on a continuum towards mastery. Powerful ideas can bring powerful results; thus designed our workshop to successfully “Launch” the ideas, position them for greater ‘Leverage’, and collectively “Lead” the ideas to achieve performance excellence.

Personalized Learning: Launch. Leverage. Lead.

Join the CESA 6 Learning Strategies Center at a Personalized Learning: Launch. Leverage. Lead. workshop.  The workshop is designed to Launch powerful learner-centered ideas, Leverage our greatest resource; the learner, and Lead the infusion of powerful learner centered ideas and practices into their system, school, and classroom.

Launch:

The session is designed for district/school leaders, and teachers, and will provide a practical, ‘apply ideas today’, approach to ‘Launching’ personalized learner-centered practices.  The workshops will dive into proven research based practices, and break down the critical ‘launch phase’ of these practices.  With so many school/teachers are trying different ideas, and with your ‘current context’ being so important, we ask participants to ‘carry-in’ ideas as we customize the workshop to ensure specific connections.

Leverage:

The newly ‘launched’ ideas require our practices to shift so that the learner is in a position of greatest leverage.  Our ‘4 step Leverage process’ was designed with quality implementation in mind and unfolds inside of classroom experiences. Participants will engage in creating a plan-on-a-page that will move the idea into action with personalized practices that will position the learner for ‘maximum learner advantage’.

Lead:

Most importantly, the workshop is designed for bringing ideas to life that lead to a real change in the learner’s experience. Based on performance driven leadership practices, the “Launch. Leverage. Lead” process has been proven to shift ‘instructional strategies to become learning strategies’; where learners take on a role of greater ‘learning ownership’, and are positioned to develop, and depend on, the attributes (skills/dispositions) of a powerful learner as they are learning today, so they are prepared for their tomorrow.

This workshop features our contextual  “Carry-ins ALLOWED” design.  What we mean is that your context is so critical and that we want you to ‘carry in’ your ideas, work, and goals, as the workshop is designed to infuse with your local context and organizational goals.  Together we will move the system so that the learner can move to new levels of performance!.

Outcomes:

  • Learn...about personalized learning and how ‘ideas’ can get started.
  • Launch...determine ideas/practices/strategies that works best for your context.
  • Leverage...the ideas, and build a ‘plan on a page’ to ensure performance results.
  • Lead.. a culture of collective efficacy as your learners lead their learning.
